Book Review: Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace

An Extended Look

Terry Brooks’ Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace (1999) is the novelization of the film with the same name. In case you haven’t seen the film, the story cover the origins of one of the most iconic bad guys in history: Darth Vader.

Why Read It?

Brooks does a spectacular job in adding more scenes in the book than there are in the movie. In addition to the scenes, we also get the chance to find out what the characters are thinking.

Final Thoughts

The Star Wars universe is one of my favorite places to visit. After seeing the movie, I was excited to get my hands on this book. It made the world more real to me. I highly recommend this book. And yes, you might run into Jar Jar Binks. Maybe skip those pages.
