Book Review: Saga Volume 6

Brian K. Vaughan’s Saga Vol. 6 (2016) is the sixth compilation of the Saga comic book series. In this issue we find the titular family separated. The parents are working through their issues as they look for their missing child in a galaxy filled with dangers an bounty hunters looking to turn them in.

Family is the central theme in this series of comics. They explore the need for families to come together as they face adversity. Vaughan once again tells a fantastic story in a dark place. I found the characters so likeable, I genuinely cared about them; this kept me turning the pages all the way to the end.

Final Thoughts

As always the illustrations are great. I found each frame minimalistic with enough information to transmit each story beat to the reader. I recommend this book to parents. Again, this comic has mature content and it should not be shared with children. If you can get that, you’ll enjoy this book.
